BloggerAid is a social network founded by Ivy of Kopiaste.. to Greek Hospitality , Giz of Equal Opportunity Kitchen and Val of More Than Burnt Toast.
BloggerAid’s mission statement: Unite Bloggers to Aid in the Alleviation of Hunger.
My family has been blessed and fortunate of not feeling the pain of hunger that is felt by millions of people around the world so when I read about BloggerAid on Val’s blog, More Than Burnt Toast , I knew this was the kind of project I definitely wanted to participate in.
When Gloria Chadwick of Cookbook Cuisine suggested to Val, Ivy and Giz to produce a fundraising cookbook for BloggerAid, they agreed wholeheartedly and thus the BloggerAid Cookbook project was launched with Gloria as Head Chef.
The BloggerAid Cookbook will be used to raise funds in the quest to alleviate hunger in the world. Join the BloggerAid team and contribute a recipe to be included in the BloggerAid Cookbook. Visit the BloggerAid Web site for more information on to how participate in this wonderful project.
Joan Nova of Foodalogue.com is hosting a Culinary Tour Around the World event to help stamp out world hunger. She has compiled a list of countries for the tour. and we are all invited to participate. Each Monday a new country is listed for that week and the recipes for that chosen country are to be posted before the next Monday.
This week’s chosen country was Norway. Visit Foodalogue.com for more information on how to participate in this event and to view a list of dates and countries for the Culinary Tour Around the World.
This is a great event to experience the cuisine of different countries as well as contributing to a good cause. Tomorrow I will be posting the Norwegian recipe I chose for the tour.
