I really enjoyed browsing through this cookbook and choosing which recipes to make for this review. Since we have a pear tree that produced an abundance of pears this year, a couple of the recipes I chose include pears. The following are just some of my family’s favorites:
Buttermilk Pancakes with Caramelized Pears (Breakfast and Brunch)
Buttermilk pancakes are a weekend treat in our household. These pancakes tasted light and fluffy. The caramelized pears topping adds just enough sweetness.

Spinach Salad with Caramelized Pears (Salads)
This salad is amazing! The goat cheese gives the combination of the spinach and dried cranberries a creamy taste while the toasted almonds adds crunch and the caramelized pears add sweetness. (I left out the red pepper by request). The vinaigrette adds just the right flavor to the combination of the ingredients.
Polenta Squares with Roasted Vegetables and Goat Cheese (Vegetarian Main Dishes)
